Measures to reduce and control heat treatment distortion of motorcycle sprockets:
(1) Deep Carburizing and Distortion Control of Motorcycle Sprockets
1) Carburizing. In order to reduce heat treatment distortion of large carburized gears, segmented heating should be used during the carburizing process. Heating speed is an important factor that affects the generation of gear stress. During heating, the greater the temperature difference between various parts of the gear, the greater the thermal stress. In order to reduce the thermal stress of large gears during the heating process, it is generally best to keep the temperature within the temperature range of 600~6509C, so that the motorcycle sprocket is evenly heated and then raised to the carburizing temperature. This can reduce the excessive thermal stress caused by rapid heating, thereby reducing the deformation of the gears.
(Under the conditions of ensuring a certain carburizing speed and core structure, try to use a lower carburizing temperature and quenching temperature. The carburizing temperature should be 920-930 cores. If the gear stays at a higher temperature for a long time, it will cause grain coarsening and greater distortion. The formula for calculating the depth of the carburized layer is the carburizing time (h) in the formula T;

For large heavy-duty motorcycles, the surface carbon content of the sprocket (shaft) is 0.75%~0 95% by mass. The carbon content on the surface of large heavy-duty gears (shafts) should be controlled at the lower limit. The average particle size of carbide is controlled at l μ Below m. At the same time, the appearance of needle like or massive carbides should be avoided.
